Morgan appeared in a film about AIDS education and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. Proceeds from the video was donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the main force behind many fund-raising campaigns for the spread of the disease. She also spoke before an Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. She is on the Board of Governors of APLA. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has requested her to substitute for him at AIDS occasions and has presented an AIDS Awareness Special featuring news anchorman Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline alongside Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan was awarded an Emmy Award in Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was created specifically for Morgan. The spring, she starred as Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The film was produced Von Zerneck/Sertner, and also starred Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. Her next project took Morgan to Luxembourg and she was a part of the cast in the role of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also on the set. Morgan also played in the psychological thriller "The Leading Lady" that was exclusively produced for USA Network. This thriller garnered the best ratings of all time for the channel.
