Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she won an Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her performance on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was born the sole child of her homemaker mother and an executive in the United Auto Workers. Delaney spent most of her childhood with 4 brothers. Although she was a child with a aspiration to become journalist, it wasn't until high school when Delaney started modeling. When she moved away from New York City and gaining experience as a commercial model and commercials in New York did she achieve an aspiring career as court reporters. Her first appearance acting was when she was a young, innocent girl in the show All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress from the 1980s has appeared in a variety of TV films as well as dramas. Delaney has not lived a successful or happy personal life. The actress, who is talented and beautiful, has battled alcoholism before. She has also had marriages that been unsuccessful two times. Her custody was taken away from her son in the year 2005.
